North, South, East or West, put your character to the test

WE often associate different types of personality with different races or parts of the world. For example, we think of the Japanese are highly-organised people who pay close attention to detail and the Italians as passionate and voluble, but hopelessly disorganised. Now a new system of assessing personality has been developed which uses these ideas to determine which type of character you are.

Researchers in America came up with The Personality Compass after deciding that human character can be divided into four distinct types – North, South, East and West. You can work out YOUR personality type from the questionnaire below, and discover the key to your own needs, likes, dislikes and behaviour. You can even learn how to get along better with other people by understanding their nature…

WHAT’S YOUR COMPASS POINT?

YOU need to work out your dominant and sub-dominant personality type, to know which control your life.

You are a combination of the two, but the dominant type has the greater influence on behaviour. First, decide if you are more North than South. Look at the choices below, and pick the characteristic that fits you best. Tick A or B from each group, then tally your score.
